SC2 Halby #70 (1of3) Macro Practice: The Mineral Drill
SC2 Halby #70 (1of3) Macro Practice: The Mineral Drill
If you are bronze, silver, or gold, try this training drill. It allows you to demonstrate to yourself just how important your macro is, compared to silly little things like positioning, micro, unit composition, scouting, harassment, etc etc. You can easily get into the gold league just doing this over and over, but that is not the point, the point is to see how powerful you can be JUST by focusing on scv/command center production, and then imagine how much more powerful you can be by making minor adjustments to the build. Once you are gold league you might want to add just 1 scv on gas slowly working his way toward 1/1/combat shields, nothing fast, nothing drastic... and if you start losing games, go back to the core, scvs, supply depots, and command centers. thats what it all flows from. what you build is nowhere near as important as how much of it you can afford to build. Pew pew. Remember, each new CC you build, causes your scv production rate to increase, that means it takes you 6 minutes to saturate 1 base, but only 4 more minutes to saturate the second one, and so on... so scv benchmarks look like this: 6min = 24 (CC!) 10min = 44 (CC!) 14min = 70 (CC!) 16min = 90 (CC!) OK OK STOP NOW! with 5 CCs, if you lose every single scv at a base, you can float the CC somewhere else, and re-macro all 22 scvs at once (just set the new rally point, and hold down 'S', bam 20 scvs insta-q'd at the 4 non-floating CCs) hi, i can make a base in 2.5 seconds, how are you? in general ...

Deepwater Seismic Minerals Exploration and Drilling Can Cause Earthquakes
Deepwater Seismic Minerals Exploration and Drilling Can Cause Earthquakes
Offshore seismic exploration is the primary method of exploring for hydrocarbon deposits under the sea. It begins on the ocean surface with a fleet of seismic vessels. Air guns are used to shoot sound energy waves from the survey ship into the water and sea bottom. Different layers of sedimentary rock reflect unique parts of the sound waves back to shipboard receptors. Chile October 25, 2009 ... GeoPark Holdings Announces New Oil Discovery in Chile. Geopark expects to begin shooting seismic on the Tranquilo Block in December 2009 and on the Otway Block in March 2010. During 2009, GeoPark is carrying out a nine well drilling program on the Fell Block -- and drilling is now underway on the Pampa Larga 15 well. GeoPark has also initiated start-up of activities on its two new blocks in Chile - Tranquilo and Otway - which in total cover an area of approximately 12000 square kilometres. The Company expects to begin shooting seismic on the Tranquilo Block in December 2009 and on the Otway Block in March 2010. GeoPark drilled and completed the Yagan Norte 1 well to a total depth of 3161 metres. A production test in the Tobifera formation, at approximately 3077 metres in a 10 metre perforated interval, flowed at a rate of approximately 610 barrels per day (bpd) of oil with no water through a choke of 12 millimetres (mm) and with a well head pressure of 340 pounds per square inch (psi). These are preliminary results and further production history will be required to determine ...

Barker Minerals Ltd. 2009 Trenching Discovery Video #1
This video is for information purposes only and is not an offer to solicit funds which must only be done under proper regulatory exemptions. New Trenching Discovery Line 53 Area On January 10 2010, the Company reported a new late season 2009 trenching discovery on Line 53N and 22+50W which was an extension across the stratigraphy of the 2008 original Line 53 area trenching and drilling discovery. The new discovery has exposed approximately 75 metres of a highly altered sulphide zone comprised of lenses, pods and blocks of massive sulphide mineralization and further extends the overall width of the Line 53 trenching and drilling mineralized zone. The Line 53N and 22W area is centred on the strongest co-incident multi-element enzyme leach soil anomaly and is near the contact between chargeability highs and resistivity lows, a geophysical pattern which is consistent as a favourable location for the formation of volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization. A high priority has been given to the L53 trench and drilling discovery area in order to further extend the mineralization in the new trench and also to see it in drill core. The widespread occurrence of footwall-type alteration and mineralization on surface and in drill core affirms the overturned nature of the local stratigraphy, evidenced by results from previous exploration programs. The massive sulphide lenses discovered in the Discovery Trench in 2001 and in the F9 Target trenches in 2007/2009 are considered to exist ...

This is a video clip made from taping a camera to a long rod and dropping it down a drill hole on an exploration project in Mexico to inspect the top of casing that was stuck in the hole. The drilling company, Falcon Drilling out of Hermosillo, Mexico, claimed that the casing was cut with a casing cutter. The video clearly shows that the casing was never cut as the threads in the top of the casing are still visible.

Silvercorp Metals Firms More Than 1% on Drilling Results
Silvercorp Metals Firms More Than 1% on Drilling Results
Silvercorp Metals (SVM) says it issued drilling results from the 2010 drill program on the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead project in Northern British Columbia, Canada. A total of 10913 meters (m) in 36 diamond drill holes was completed, of which, 24 holes reached their planned depth while 12 holes were abandoned. The high drilling success rate of 67% - that's 16 hits out of 24 drill holes - demonstrates that the high grade mineralization is continuous in these areas, and the drilling has expanded the current resource blocks in the March 2010 Resource Estimate. In addition, a new zone was discovered 300 meters south of the existing 65 Zone, which could add a significant amount of high grade resources to the project. Silvercorp Metals shares are trading up over 1.25% pre-market Wednesday, on the news.

Apollo Minerals targets 800 million tonnes at Mount Oscar Iron Ore Project, Western Australia
Apollo Minerals (ASX:AON) has estimated an initial estimated 800 million tonne exploration target at Mount Oscar Iron Ore Project in the Pilbara in Western Australia as a result of independent magetic modelling. Using an assumed density of 3.5t/m3 a total tonnage for the Global Mt Oscar Project Area down to the first 250 metres of vertical depth from surface is estimated at 800 million tonnes. Several areas have potential to be hosting non-magnetic haematitic/goethitic caps overlaying the BIF sequence & 2 to a depth of 250m for Global Mt Oscar Project Area (comprising all Mt Oscar tenements held by Apollo and Fox Resources Limited). Apollo will implement a drilling programme to test the accuracy of the most prospective model within its tenement. The programme will comprise 4 drill holes for 680 metres on model A6. This model transect, is considered the most prospective for drill testing for thick magnetite units. The discovery of commercial quantities of Direct Shipping Ore (haematite) would significantly increase the value and economics of the project.

Arlington Cowboy Stadium gas well drilling - renters & visitors get the risk
Arlington Cowboy Stadium gas well drilling - renters & visitors get the risk
I am quite the NIMBY now that I am informed at how dangerous this is...mostly I'm upset with our leadership who failed through open records requests to do due diligence in finding out the risks to those having to live close to these drill sites. And what about those children of the parents who hastily signed? Do they deserve to be poisoned? And what about those that do not own the minerals but have to live in the fumes and effluents (like low income housing and mobile home parks?) Landman can came in and promised the moon and lied about how safe this is and how far away folks would be from the process and never mentioned the controversial fracking process (not proven safe) and all the environemental ills it brings. False advertisement should null and void every fracking mineral right contract. The real estate business has its work cut out for them....and there are more people like me blogging on the internet making a huge negative PR in the non-livibility of Arlingotn to force a way to make things safer. Just go ahead a google the words Arlington, drilling and... air quality pollution toxins family friendly livability real estate etc........ and see where all this is leading to.....people finally being told the truth! For those that knew better that were told it was going to happen anyway...I still give the advise when asked what to do...I tell people try to fight Rule 37 if you feel like going to Austin and then if you win it will only get contested, and then you have to ...
